Grunt Style Expands Sponsorship of Spencer Boyd Into NASCAR Xfinity Series

Concord, NC (June 5, 2017) – Spencer Boyd Racing and SS Green Light Racing officials announced today that Grunt Style is supporting Spencer Boyd’s move up to NASCAR’s Xfinity Series. Starting as a developmental driver with Rick Ware Racing going back to Legends Cars, Spencer will drive the No. 07 Grunt Style Chevrolet Camaro in multiple races this year.

Grunt Style is a lifestyle apparel brand founded by Former US Drill Sergeant, Daniel Alarik. Grunt Style believes in Pride in Self, in Military, and in Country. Spencer will continue to celebrate our nation’s military and honoring our veterans this year with new partner SS Green Light Racing.

“This opportunity happened a lot more quickly than I could have ever imagined,” remarks Boyd. “Because of the relationship that Rick (Ware) and Bobby (Dotter) have, I got the chance to spend some time in the SS Greenlight shop with Jason Miller before the Charlotte Truck race. We bonded very quickly. I had a good run at Kansas followed up by a solid race at Charlotte, then the conversations escalated. As I was looking at the emails back and forth and it was becoming a reality, I realized I’m going to be racing with Ricky Bobby this year!”

Grunt Style CEO, Daniel Alarik said about their support of Spencer, “Spencer is a member of our family. To see him advance is a very proud moment for our brand and our over 200 employees. We are a growing company with a growing NASCAR star. We wish him the best of luck in this next step in his career.”

“We saw something special in Spencer when he ran back to back top 20’s at two track debuts,” states Bobby Dotter. “With some available races and good timing, Rick Ware and I discussed Spencer’s future and it worked out. He is a hands-on driver who is involved at the shop so we are excited about the partnership. Spencer’s first race will be Pocono on June 10.”

Spencer reflected on this season to date, “We didn’t have the start to the season that we wanted but its racing and we all know you just have to keep digging. I’m going to continue to work hard to make the most of the opportunities that come my way. This is a big step and I’m grateful to have such supportive sponsors and partners in chasing my dream. Now it’s time to Shake and Bake…”

The Pocono Green 250 from Pocono Raceway can be seen live, Saturday, June 10th on FOX. Race coverage will begin at 1:o0 p.m. EST, and the event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90.
